Counterfeit money used at three restaurant drive-thrusWaterloo Region RecordBy Record staff KITCHENER — Waterloo Regional Police are warning businesses to be careful when accepting money. Early Tuesday, between midnight and 12:50 a.m., three restaurant drive-thrus accepted $20 counterfeit bills in U.S. currency. Police spokesperson Alana Russell said in each incident a four-door black sedan was seen leaving the restaurant. Anyone with information on the counterfeit cash should call police at 519-653-7700.
